Pet registration and vaccinations

Under the Rabies Prevention Act, dogs older than 91 days must be registered (once per lifetime) and receive an annual rabies vaccination (typically between April and June).
For dogs with microchips, register the microchip information on the Ministry of the Environment's "Dog and Cat Microchip Information Registration" website. Reporting to the City is not required.
Applications for vaccination certificates are accepted at branch offices, City Resident Service Centers, and Public Hygiene Division counters, or via LINE. When applying, receive the vaccination (for a fee) from a local practicing veterinarian and submit the "Rabies Vaccination Certificate" issued by the veterinarian. Every year in spring, group vaccinations are held and you can obtain a proof of vaccination at the site. City regulations prohibit leaving your dog unleashed and leaving your pet’s feces behind.
