提供/渋谷駅街区土地区画整理事業共同施工者谷地形ですり鉢状の地形の底に位置する渋谷駅はかつて、大規模な浸水被害に遭うことがありました。しかし、2020年には約4,000tの雨水貯留施設が渋谷駅東口の地下に設置され、浸水を防ぐことができるようになりました。4,000tの雨水貯留施設は25mプール13杯分の雨水をためておくことができると言われています。「あめちょ」とも呼ばれています。渋谷駅東口雨水貯留施設渋谷駅東口雨水貯留施設渋谷駅地下の浸水1999年8月、渋谷駅地下は集中豪雨により大規模な浸水被害を受けました。この浸水は、渋谷駅周辺の地形が「谷底」に位置しているため、雨水が集まりやすいことが原因の一つでした。Underground Storage Facilities to Protect the Hilly Shibuya Area from FloodingShibuya Station Underground Flooding21Shibuya Station was once subject to extensive flooding. However, by 2020, rainwater harvesting facilities with a capacity of approximately 4,000 tons were installed underground of Shibuya Station East Exit, so that flooding can now be prevented. The 4,000-ton rainwater harvesting facilities are estimated to be capable of storing rainwater equivalent to thirteen 25 m swimming pools. They are called “Amecho.”In August 1999, the underground of Shibuya Station was severely flooded by torrential rains.
